Highlights

  • Perfect for matching stripes and plaids.
  • Excellent for quilting and sewing with pile fabrics.

Details

The Even Feed / Walking Foot evenly feeds multiple layers of fabric without sliding or puckering, and is a must-have when quilting. It is also great for matching plaids or stripes and sewing fabrics with nap or pile, to keep them from shifting. The foot has its own set of feed dogs that work in conjunction with the sewing machine’s feeding system for perfect fabric feeding!

How to Use:

1. Remove the presser foot and presser foot ankle.

2. Position the arm of the Walking Foot over the needle clamp screw and attach to the shank of the machine with the screw. Tighten securely. Note: As the needle goes up and down, the feed dogs also move up and down, thus pulling the upper layer of fabric evenly along with the lower fabric.

3. Select the straight, zigzag, or other desired stitch. Do not select stitches with many backward stitches.

4. Place fabrics under the Even Feed Foot and stitch.
